What you will do

The District Sales Manager is to lead the field team in central area of Taiwan with the leadership, direction, and resources to ensure the achievement of business objectives. This role involves collaborating closely with marketing, key account management and medical partners and leaders to assure the execution of short and long-term portfolio goals, strategies, and programs, and drive valuable results for patients, customers, and shareholders. This position will report directly to the Head of GMBU and be a member of GMBU Management Team.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Planning & Organizing : Efficiently completes all work activities and requirements through effective planning, organizing, data analysis and resource utilization.

  • Leveraging Business, Industry, and Technical Knowledge : Effectively sharing, coaching, and monitoring, throughout the district, the application of knowledge of the industry, healthcare-related trends, the customer engagement process, clinical knowledge, and Amgen's product offerings, in order to demonstrate value and produce desired results.

  • Communicating With Impact : Engaging others, using the full range of communication skills (speaking, writing, presenting, facilitating, listening), to build credibility and raise value for the district.

  • Driving For Results : Models the passion, persistence, commitment, and “grit” to succeed, enabling Sales Representatives to work through complex and difficult customer issues, drive demand and build Amgen’s overall value proposition.

  • Coaching & Developing Others : Leading competency-based selection, goal-setting & development activities, and coaching team members, in order to build capability and sustained performance excellence.

  • Motivating & Energizing Others : Leading a culture of high-performance, inspiring team members and instilling learning, collaboration, and commitment to Amgen throughout the District.

What we expect of you

Qualifications

  • Experience : A minimum of 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech sales and/or marketing, at least 3-year in general medicine and 2-year people management

  • Leadership Skills : Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team is crucial. Experience in team building, performance management, and employee development is required.

  • Market Knowledge : In-depth understanding of the therapeutic areas, the Taiwanese healthcare market (including regulations, reimbursement systems, and customer dynamics), and the pharmaceutical ecosystem is required.

  • Personal Attributes : The candidate should be team-oriented, with strong influencing power, critical thinking, accountability and adaptability, problem-solving skills, and growth mindset.

  • Communication Proficiency : Confident communicator with clear written and verbal communication skills, influencing capabilities, and ability to work in multi-matrix and teams with varied strengths.
