Job Description Summary

The Field Marketing team consists of experts in the channel and application areas who stay close to the field and end user experiences to ensure, they are

positive. The field marketing manager focuses on revenue growth with activities executing the business strategy. They play an essential role in ensuring two-way communication between marketing and field teams so that both teams can continuously improve.

BK medical is a market leading intraoperative ultrasound company with a global footprint, providing customers with specialized real-time imaging guidance solutions for neurosurgery, urologic surgery, HPB surgery and more. Our solutions are tailored to enabling faster, real-time intraoperative imaging for surgical applications and are informed by clinical and procedural needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with regulatory team to ensure APAC region has BK’s product portfolio available for sales, or registration processes are ongoing.

  • Work with VP Sales APAC to define strategic sales plan and business development by therapeutic segment. Implement and execute such strategic plans, with the local sales and clinical application teams, direct and indirect. Inclusive of industry shows, demos training, collateral material development, etc.

  • Partner with Global Marketing Communications and Product Strategy teams on alignment and escalation plans to the region, in messaging and activities (Master classes programs, brochures, education programs etc.) that support the product strategy and marketing roadmap by acting as the voice of the channel & customer. Exchange on and escalate to local sales teams, best practices from other regions.

  • Collaborate with sales management on new products strategic planning by country/area and therapeutic segments. Implement and follow up on new products commercial plans with local sales teams and clinical application teams.

  • Market & Competitive Intelligence – be an expert in the user & channel. Understand the customer and the customer experience to evaluate local trends in assigned segments or new, but related markets to determine segment penetration opportunities and strategies.

  • Elaborate a regional mapping on expertise gaps and needs by procedures/therapeutic segments. Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL’s) and manage relationships from a consulting perspective. Expend KOLs reach and cooperation by surgical procedure/therapeutic segments. Collaborate with sales and clinical application teams on optimizing participation of KOLs to specific regional programs/country specific activities.

  • Enable lead-sharing and co-selling initiatives in coordination with Global Product Strategy Manager and regional sales management. Monitor success and intervene to improve when needed.

  • Understand and support our sales channels in optimizing two ways communication between regional field marketing and the distribution channels; organize education and support plans to train on the problems we solve for our sales channels, our customers and users; co-develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it. Support important demos and shows.

  • Follow up and report, monthly and quarterly, to VP Sales APAC on marketing budget use, activities plans, passed activities outcomes etc. Support VP Sales APAC with regional or country specific reports/presentations decks on activities, revenues, trends etc.

Requirements

  • Experience in intraoperative HPB & neurosurgery market, abdominal surgery, OR based procedural surgery preferred

  • 5-7 years of experience in a marketing function with direct product management experience or surgical devices sales

  • Regional experience in dealing with channel partners preferred

  • Experience in medical device field mandatory

  • Experience in clinical settings (OR) preferred

  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional teams and customers

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence large indirect teams

  • Demonstrated success in customer and market insights

  • Ability to develop and execute on a marketing plan linked to business goals

  • Microsoft Office with an emphasis in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • Demonstrated complex problem-solving skills

  • Ability to coach and mentor others

  • Ability to travel extensively in the region
