Description and Requirements

Assists in architecture development, assessment and concept incubation.sustaining project handling

Design engineering solutions for the platform and system and trouble shooting/analyzing field side issue on sustaining projects

Work with other hardware engineers or outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions.

Conducts feasibility studies, design margin, validation analyses and empirical testing on the designs.

The role is for a Hardware Development/Sustaining Engineer in the ThinkSystem Development organization in Lenovo’s Edge Product Group. The engineer in this role will part of a group of engineers whose responsibility is to develop IOT and edge server portfolio. Opportunities on the team include developing innovative and complex designs on leading edge technologies in the x86 server industry,also sustaining project handling & maintenance were included. This role will have a focus on Intel or AMD based server designs within the ThinkSystem portfolio, as well as engagement on multiple other technologies within the server. The engineer will perform activities including schematic design, support of PCB layout floor-planning/routing and early power-on qualification. This candidate will become an active member of the development team that is highly motivated to engage, understand and solve the technical challenges of today and shape the server designs of tomorrow.
