Job Summary

A Building Engineer is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the site, managing technical issues and equipment maintenance. They oversee sub-contractor agreements, execute minor projects such as renovations, ensure legal compliance with government regulations, and handle purchase requests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Overseeing the overall upkeep and cleanliness of the site.

  2. Handling and resolving all technical issues that may arise.

  3. Conduct daily rounds and regular inspection and maintenance of all site equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

  4. Management of sub-contractor contracts, ensuring all work is completed to standard and on time.

  5. Overseeing minor projects such as renovations or improvements to the facilities.

  6. Ensuring compliance with all necessary legal regulations, such as PEZA.

  7. Processing and managing purchase requests for equipment, supplies, and other necessary items.

  8. Regularly liaising with other departments to coordinate facility operations and maintenance.

  9. Developing, implementing, and reviewing maintenance schedules and protocols.

  10. Ensuring safety standards and procedures are adhered to avoid accidents and damages.

  11. Conducting regular assessments of facilities to identify and resolve issues, and implement improvements.

  12. Reporting and documenting all maintenance and repair activities.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in Integrated Facility Management (IFM). Preference will be given to those with a BPO or critical rooms background, although experience in other types of facilities can also be considered.

  2. Must be a licensed engineer.

  3. Ideally a graduate of Mechanical Engineering, but those with a degree in Electrical Engineering may also be considered.

  4. Possess strong communication skills.

  5. Knowledgeable in financial aspects such as budgeting and monitoring expenses.
