Abbott Sales & Therapy Specialist - Abbott Structural Heart in Taguig City, Philippines

DIVISION:

Structural Heart

DIRECT REPORTING TO:

Sales Manager Indonesia and Philippines SH

KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE:

  • Ensure that the assigned country meets or exceeds sales objectives. Work with their Sales Manager to identify and evaluate market opportunities and sales potential and to establish and achieve annual sales objectives in the assigned country.

  • Responsible for local distributors(s) business performance and ensure proper coordination and follow-ups.

  • Responsible for the sales and marketing of SH Products

  • Provide clinical consultation, training and troubleshooting of products to customers on the Structural Heart Division product line.

  • Drive market development for SH through partnership with local distributor(s) and other stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with manager in establishing strategic, operating, and forecasting plans in accordance with business objectives and challenges.

  • Support management with relevant input and prognoses in planning, sales targets, forecasting processes, marketing activities and budget plan.

  • Coordinate closely with local distributors(s) and other stakeholders to ensure proper execution and follow-ups.

  • Initiate, develop, expand, and maintain excellent customer rapport and relationship.

  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of product and technical knowledge.

  • Provide technical assistance, procedure support, implantation and follow up support as well as training to customers and the distributors when needed.

  • Provide timely and comprehensive market information to management as requested.

  • Provides formal in-service / education to Surgeons and Cardio Interventionist.

  • Coordinate all necessary logistics related to hospital training for new accounts.

  • Exhibit sound business sense and logic when utilizing assigned expense budget.

  • Participate in on-site procedure observation to ensure new product evaluation is successful, utilization is encouraged, customer and personal technical knowledge is enhanced, and customer rapport is developed.

QUALIFICATIONS: Describe the minimum education and experience, including knowledge, skills and abilities, required to successfully perform the job. List any certificates and/or registration required.

  • University degree (or equivalent) in science, healthcare, or business discipline.

  • 5+ years of related work experience within structural heart, electrophysiology or healthcare industry.

  • Strong sales and clinical orientation, experience with products for use in cardiology field.

  • Experience in Cath-labs, cardiology or other related field is preferred

  • Self-drive to identify, initiate and implement projects independently

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English, another language is an asset

  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills in problem solving

  • Experience with working on tenders is an asset

  • Can adapt to long and short-term business trips.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Willing to travel and work overtime

  • Handle and process customer feedbacks/complaints/product experience as applicable in timely manner and according to Abbott Medical policy and requirement.

  • Execute the job responsibilities according to applicable standard operating procedures of Abbott Medical.

  • Ensure applicable standard operating procedures of Abbott Medical are executed.
