The Opportunity.Aero Precision is looking for a high energy, detail-oriented State and Local Tax Manager.

The Job.

  • Lead State and Local tax compliance

  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of all local state returns

  • Perform Nexus analysis to ensure tax compliance is met in each State.

  • Monitor sales and transactions to forecast potential tax implications in each State

  • Act as a subject matter expert for all state and local income tax matters as they relate to business operations

  • Assist with state tax provision and preparation of SALT related accruals, journal entries, and related account reconciliations

  • Assisting with the implementation of process improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA strongly preferred

  • 5 – 7 years of experience with state tax

  • Experience with tax determination engines (Avalara)

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team

  • 1-3 years of supervisor experience

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Proactive

  • Flexible in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment

  • Proven ability to multitask efficiently

  • Experience in ERP systems, SAP strongly preferred
