David Evans and Associates Survey Project Manager in Tacoma, Washington
DEA's Tacoma, WA office is searching for a Survey Project Manager whose primary focus will be helping manage projects and performing instruction to survey crews and office staff in performing control, boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveying services related to land survey projects. DEA is dedicated to a revenue-generating survey business line, utilizing cutting-edge technology that allows us to be a leader in terrestrial, GPS, 3D laser scanning and hydrographic surveying. Project Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Works on calculations of boundaries and perform QC on drawings in relation to topographic surveys, design mapping, ALTA surveys, platting, and construction staking calculations. Direct the field and office staff in the performance of their duties, mentor and coach them to advance within the survey profession as their individual abilities allow. Prepares and delivers boundary analysis and determination. Performs basic data processing (QC of raw data, processing automated linework using established control, simple exports for construction staking). Prepare proposals, develop, and manage project budgets and schedules. Serve as the project manager for the projects you work on. Work with Geomatics Group and Delivery Leaders to ensure office resources are available to complete existing project work as well as work committed to in proposals. Provide surveying leadership and guidance to geomatics staff. Adhere to firmwide tools, processes, and policies including project accounting, contracting, and quality requirements. Quality control oversight. Coordinate with other DEA disciplines and clients. Basic Qualifications: Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) Capable of managing projects, communicating well with clients and mentoring junior level staff members 8+ years of experience in land surveying Strong communication skills. Strong computer skills with Civil 3D.
