Compensation Data

FLSA Status: Salary Exempt Base Salary Range: $91,268 - $116,484 Return on Asset Bonus: Up to 33.9% of base salary Profit Sharing 3 - Year Average: 28%

Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Safety Supervisor includes providing leadership and support to the Safety & Health functions across the Division and Safety Region. The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Growing long term, sustainable relationships to drive continuous improvement in safety culture, performance, and safety systems.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement strategies and plans to support Nucor's Challenge of "Becoming the World's Safest Steel Company."
  • Interpret and practically apply regulatory and consensus standards (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, etc.}
  • Provide accessible and engaging expert safety and health advice.
  • Build and facilitate effective Safety & Health processes, management systems, and training that drives hazard recognition and prevention.
  • Conduct safety visits, audits, and observations.
  • Manage the site occupational health and industrial hygiene program and record keeping.
  • Oversee and coordinate site safety and contractor management program.
