Stella Jones Corporation Quality Management System Supervisor - ISO - 2244 in Tacoma, Washington

Position Summary: Ensures compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements by overseeing the corporate QMS system, providing training to personnel and conducting internal auditing of Tacoma WA, Eugene OR, and Silver Springs NV plants. The position shall ensure program documents and records are up to date, conduct corrective actions and manage non-conformances for all departments with QMS requirements. These requirements will be achieved by performing the following duties: Principal Responsibilities:

  • Understand ISO 9001 International Standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Ensure corporate QMS policies are adhered to.
  • Travel to provide onsite support for corporate functions as well as manufacturing plants located in Tacoma, WA, Eugene, OR and Silver Springs, NV - 25% travel per month.
  • Complete technical writing and manage living program documents
  • Oversee and ensure compliance of all ISO 9001 QMS requirements including:
  • Context of the Organization
  • Managing Risk
  • Management Review
  • Control of Quality Documents
  • Quality Records
  • Corrective and Preventative Actions
  • Internal Audits
  • Qualification of Personnel and Training
  • Customer Purchase Order, Order Processing and Work Order Release
  • Customer Contract Review
  • Supplies Selection and Qualification
  • Supplier Performance
  • Purchasing
  • Calibration
  • Incoming, In Process and Final Inspection
  • Storage and Inventory Management

  • Provide training as it relates to product quality, process quality and procedures.
  • Manage online training databases.
  • Maintain ISO documents and records on SharePoint.
  • Perform internal auditing for conformance with ISO requirements.
  • Completion of audit reports.
  • Conduct supplier selection & qualification performance reporting.
  • Complete Corrective and Preventative actions as necessary and document.
  • Monitor customer complaints to ensure closure and CAPA actions performed as necessary.
  • Compile metrics for KPIs identified within the QMS.
  • Conduct annual management review meetings.
  • Assures a high degree of communication with regard to progress and conformance are maintained. Work closely with third party audit agencies and corporate management.
  • Work closely with plant managers and other personnel in providing information to optimize QMS objectives.
  • Complete necessary reporting to leadership regarding training, auditing and compliance results.

Qualifications:

BA/BS in QMS, Engineering, Forest Resources, Business or Operations Management OR

3-5 years relevant experience in a production environment

ISO 9001:2015, QMS and continuous improvement concepts.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication.

Must work exceptionally well in team environments and have strong interpersonal skills.

Strong leadership skills.

Ability to learn quickly, adaptable and embraces change.

Strong results oriented.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability to write reports and correspondence.
