CPM Holdings, Inc. Field Service - Process Engineer in São Paulo, Brazil

JOB SUMMARY:

The Field Service (Process) Engineer is a facilitator of onsite training, evaluation, and inspections of our customer’s plants for all Crown Iron Works processes. This professional must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction. Must have strong business and communications skills to establish and maintain strong relationships with the customer, co-workers and vendors. Analytical and problem-solving skills are just as essential to this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application.

  • Provide technical field assistance, and/or training for internal employees and customers in operation, startup and/or shutdown and process troubleshooting, perform inspections of existing Crown equipment during shutdowns and assist plant/contractors with recommend repairs.

  • Recommend process improvements to improve operational efficiency.

  • Provide leadership in resolving plant operational problems within the defined schedules.

  • Analyze root causes of operational malfunctions and provide resolutions.

  • Travel to project sites to preform onsite evaluation or inspection of customer’s plants.

  • Listen, understand and convey customer requirements.

  • Identify customer's needs and sales opportunities to help future growth.

  • Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts and correspondence in company databases.

  • Maintain professional business relationships with all customers and colleagues worldwide.

  • Prepare field reports after all customer visits and distribute to the appropriate personnel.

  • Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives.

  • Maintain professional business relationships within target accounts.

  • Provide ideas, suggestions and efforts to the group.

  • Observe all Crown safety policies and/or customer’s safety policies, whichever is stricter.

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

    QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in oilseed crushing or refining industry processes.  

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors.

  • High integrity and ethics.

  • Working knowledge in AutoCAD.

  • Knowledge of fabrication, welding, and non-destructive examination (NDE) techniques.

  • Knowledge of computers and applications, such as Microsoft Office.

  • Must be able to communicate in English fluently. Ability to communicate in a second language – European or Asian languages preferred but not required.

  • Ability to travel on need basis – domestically or internationally and up to 75% of the time.
