The Edge Production Infrastructure & Connectivity team supports all connectivity for the entire Meta product family.We are a global team of talented network professionals who engage with our Internet Service Provider (ISP) partners to identify and solve a wide array of challenges in both developed and growth markets. Our goal is to enable massive scalability, reliable service, and unparalleled performance, all of which are critical to helping build community and bring the world closer together.As an Edge Strategy Manager for the Americas you will analyze, develop, and support interconnection capabilities with service providers, partner with internal teams to develop optimal deployment strategies with a comprehensive focus on growth, scale, and performance. In this role you will also be the primary contact working with partner networks to enable world-class experience across our entire portfolio of products, and with internal teams at Meta to continuously improve related tools and processes.

Required Skills:

Edge Strategy Manager, Americas Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and refine the regional strategy for interconnection at Meta’s Edge network with data-driven performance, scale, and reliability goals

  2. Manage, coordinate, and develop efforts with ISPs across LATAM, Central, and North America for interconnection projects including peering, caching, building long-term capacity plans, negotiations, and fostering strong relationships across the region

  3. Provide high-context analysis and detailed planning support to network, infrastructure, platform, and product teams, enabling in-depth understanding of partner ISP networks

  4. Evaluate implementation methodologies, partner network characteristics, and product requirements to identify opportunities for improvement and to optimize traffic delivery

  5. Define and provide clear business justification for new, or expansion of existing, Points of Presence (PoPs), infrastructure, and evolving Edge architecture within the region

  6. Communicate progress of, and evolve changes to, the region strategy in collaboration with a wide variety of internal teams including network engineering, network planning, product, business development, legal, and leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  2. 6+ years of experience in developing and implementing IP network planning, interconnection design, and deployment strategies, specifically IP/BGP networking, interconnection capacity planning, content delivery, IP peering and caching solutions

  3. 3+ years of negotiations with and relationship management of LATAM and North American ISPs with an analytical and data driven bias, evidenced by experience with large scale caching, peering, and transit negotiations

  4. 2+ years experience with Telecommunications Regulatory frameworks in LATAM

  5. Willingness to travel up to 30%

  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  7. Business level proficiency in Portuguese and/or Spanish
