In the Budapest Artificial Intelligence Development Centre of Continental, Autonomous Mobility, we create next generation automotive software solutions which make automated driving safe and affordable. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Big Data Architect to join our growing team. As a Big Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. This is a key role that requires a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and business acumen.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect scalable, reliable, and efficient data lakes and data warehouses in AWS, ensuring alignment with business goals and requirements.

  • Develop and maintain data models that accurately represent our business processes and support efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.

  • Design and implement efficient ETL processes to ingest data from various sources into the data lake and warehouse, ensuring data quality and integrity.

  • Continuously optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval to ensure high performance and low latency for analytical queries and reports.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, data flows, and data processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure maintainability.

University degree (BSc or higher) in a technical area: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related; or equivalent experience (5+ years) in software development

  • 5 years of relevant job experience

  • Proven experience 3 years as a BI Architect or similar role, with a strong track record of designing and implementing BI solutions.

  • Deep understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling techniques, and BI best practices.

  • SW engineering and development skills in Python.

  • Deep understanding of AWS services such as Amazon S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, and EMR to build robust data solutions.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, ETL tools, and data modeling techniques.

  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.

  • Good command of English language

  • Willingness to work independently and as part of an international team.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
