We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Big Data Architect to join our growing team. As a Big Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. This is a key role that requires a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and business acumen.
Responsibilities:
Design and architect scalable, reliable, and efficient data lakes and data warehouses in AWS, ensuring alignment with business goals and requirements.
Develop and maintain data models that accurately represent our business processes and support efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
Design and implement efficient ETL processes to ingest data from various sources into the data lake and warehouse, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Continuously optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval to ensure high performance and low latency for analytical queries and reports.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, data flows, and data processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure maintainability.
University degree (BSc or higher) in a technical area: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related; or equivalent experience (5+ years) in software development
5 years of relevant job experience
Proven experience 3 years as a BI Architect or similar role, with a strong track record of designing and implementing BI solutions.
Deep understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling techniques, and BI best practices.
SW engineering and development skills in Python.
Deep understanding of AWS services such as Amazon S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, and EMR to build robust data solutions.
Strong proficiency in SQL, ETL tools, and data modeling techniques.
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
Good command of English language
Willingness to work independently and as part of an international team.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
