SUNY Upstate Medical University Zone Leader in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

The Zone Leader is a support position assigned to the Supply Chain Analytics & Systems Department within Materials Management.

The focus of this position is to build efficiencies into current supply chain processes to help free up clinicians and reduce their time and effort procuring supplies thus enabling them to focus on our ultimate customer, the patient. The individual also supports process improvement efforts within our Materials group.

Tasks include, but not limited to: Collecting and interpreting data, analyzing results, identifying patterns and trends, and project execution as determined by business needs.

The Zone Leader provides a high level of expertise, taking entire ownership of support requests through to incident resolution, ensuring the customer receives regular updates and working closely with other teams within Upstate to achieve desired results.

Individual must be multi-task oriented, resourceful, well-organized, highly dependable, efficient, detail-oriented. The individual fosters product knowledge and business awareness by attending and participating in operational meetings, sets priorities and meets deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree and three years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and computer skills required. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with supply chain management, procurement, logistics, ERP systems, project management, process improvement and within a healthcare environment a plus.

Work Days:

Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30
