Crouse Hospital Supervisor Patient Access-Evening in Syracuse, New York

Monitors and oversees the staff and activities associated with pre-registration, insurance verification, pre-certification/authorization, chart processing, DNV/HIPAA regulations and any other prerequisites required to ensure that the pre-registration process for a patient is a smooth and efficient process that also insures payment to the hospital for services rendered.

Associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years healthcare admitting, billing, business office, or other equivalent related experience or High School Diploma with 4 years of healthcare admitting, billing, business office, or other equivalent related experience. An additional 1-2 years of successful leadership experience and 2-5 years of progressive experience in the admissions/pre-registration areas of a hospital is strongly preferred. Strong computer skills and knowledge including Word, Excel, Windows, PowerPoint and Access Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Positive attitude and customer service skills. Leadership skills including initiative, good judgment, ability to delegate and decision-making. Familiarity with medical terminology. Ability to work as a team player with department heads and senior management. Ability to organize complex tasks, meet deadlines, juggle priorities, and work well under pressure.

Salary Range:

$62,500-$75,000/annually
