Rescue Mission Alliance of Syracue Inc Summer Internship - Digital Marketing (Social Enterprise) Unpaid in Syracuse, New York

Do you love thrift? Are you environmentally conscious? Do you spend time on social media? We might have a perfect internship for you!

The Rescue Mission operates 19 store locations (3fifteen and Thrifty Shopper), in addition to an Ebay store and Poshmark closet in order to support the Rescue Mission’s ability to provide programs, shelter and food for those in need in Central New York.

During an eight-week experience, the Digital Marketing Intern will help us achieve our vision by leveraging social media and digital marketing to create interest in our brand.

DUTIES:

  • Analysis of competitor’s social media

  • Research competitors’ product assortment and on-line content

  • Complete hashtag research, tracking performance and relevancy of specific hashtags

  • Assist in implementing plans to increase followers on popular social media sites

  • Manage Poshmark account:

  • Sharing current inventory

  • Posting new product selections

  • Responding to offers and customer comments

  • Aid in the daily aspects of Social Enterprise

QUALIFICATIONS and DESIRED SKILLS

  • Motivated self-starter able to take initiative once initial direction is set

  • Inquisitive nature and proactive approach to opportunity identification

  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail

  • A high level of accountability and reliability
