Crouse Hospital Student Nurse Assistant in Syracuse, New York

SNA’s are dependent members of the healthcare team who must be supervised by an RN or other licensed professionals. Performs daily care activities to help achieve the goals of the patient care plan as directed by the Registered Professional Nurse. Health - related activities and non-nursing tasks can be assigned to SNA’s.

The Student Nursing Assistant (SNA) role is designed for PCON students who have started their hospital clinical rotations. Students in the PCON 18 mo. Program can apply after they have begun their first clinical rotation unless they are already a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Students from other area nursing schools are eligible to apply if they are certified as a Nursing Assistant in NY State, or once they have successfully completed fundamentals of nursing coursework, and a clinical rotation in a hospital setting.
