SUNY Upstate Medical University Student Assistant - Ophthalmology & Visual Science in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

The Student Assistant will join the Todd Lab in the Center for Vision Research. This regenerative neuroscience lab is focused on developing strategies to regenerate neurons to combat blinding diseases. The laboratory uses a variety of molecular and cellular neuroscience techniques and mouse genetics and works on additional topics in glial biology and neuroimmunology. The Student Assistant will be responsible for supporting ongoing projects by performing PCR-genotyping, immunohistochemistry, tissue sectioning, tissue imaging and analysis. The applicant should possess strong written and verbal communication skills and will be involved in weekly lab meetings. The lab is dedicated to inclusive mentorship and training and is looking for members to contribute to a dynamic and supportive environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be enrolled in a college or university.

Preferred Qualifications:

Laboratory experience preferred.
