SUNY Upstate Medical University Physician Assistant in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary: Triages, examines, diagnoses and treats OrthoNow after hours patients during evenings and weekends. May cast/splint various injuries. Assists Physician in all aspects of patient care, including examining patients, compiling medical data, administering or ordering diagnostic tests, and interpreting test results, referring unusual findings to the supervising Physician. Performs therapeutic duties such as injections, wound care, immunizations and managing infection.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered PA required. Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire. Eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA. Initial certification must be present or obtained within 6 months of hire. Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

The salary range depicted is based on full time, 1.0 FTE and would be prorated accordingly for less than 1.0 FTE.
