SUNY Upstate Medical University Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

  • Great working environment in a PET/CT and SPECT/CT outpatient department

  • University Radiology Associates, LLP., located at 550 Harrison Center, Syracuse, N.Y.

No PET experience necessary will train

  • No weekends or call

  • Performs all duties with hybrid imaging in a PET/CT and SPECT/CT outpatient department

  • Calculates, orders, administers and records radioactive isotopes

  • Instructs patients on proper exam preparation

  • Verify physician orders for procedures as well as properly identifying patient

  • Performs all required quality control procedures

  • Maintains compliance with continuing education requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

CNMT or ARRT(N) and NYS DOH (Nuclear Medicine) License. Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

CNMT(CT) or ARRT(CT)

Work Days:

Rotating Schedule 6am-5pm (8.5 hr shifts)/ No weekend or call/ Occasional overtime
