PA/NP Vascular Surgery

Join a busy, high-acuity vascular surgery service that will expose you to a highly specialized patient population while also including direct medical management of the hospitalized patient. Generous paid time off, health benefits, professional/CME benefits, and flexible scheduling (evenings, nights, weekends required).

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Manage pre and postoperative care of the hospitalized patient including performing rounds, conducting physical exams, ordering, and interpreting appropriate tests, admission history and physicals

  • NYS licensed PA or NP (RNFA). DEA Eligible.

  • NP applicants must posses the RNFA certification and meet all requirements for NY

  • Collaborate with and work under the direction of attending physicians to form care plans and manage hospitalized patients

  • Strong surgical and inpatient setting experience preferred

  • First assist in the operating room with all vascular surgery cases

  • Inpatient only, no clinic

  • New graduates will be considered for this position and if accepted will be placed in our PA/NP residency role which will provide them comprehensive and supportive orientation, typically 6-months. New graduates please apply under PA/NP Vascular Resident/Graduate position .

  • Medium work/light work: must be able to lift 25 pounds occasionally. Will require ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat and reach.
