SUNY Upstate Medical University Mobile Mammography Location Manager in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

The Mobile Mammography Location Manager coordinates daily workflow and scheduling activity of Mobile Mammography Technologist(s) and Scheduling Coordinators. This position will travel on the mobile mammography unit. Provides screening mammography on the van as well as technical direction and guidance to technologists and scheduling coordinators. May be required to assume charge duties in absence of Program Manager/Assistant Director. Must be able to manage workload independently and prioritize tasks effectively while traveling. Provides input to management for budget preparation and capital equipment recommendations. Performs other related duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as may be required to meet emergencies. Complies with all quality assurance, customer focus, infection control, safety and all policies and procedures with the department and CG-UUH. Willingly performs other duties as requested. May be asked to work at other Women's Imaging sites when van is not on the road, to meet other staffing needs, and will be asked to do screening and diagnostic exams at other sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license/registration or eligible, and ARRT in Mammography required by time of appointment. A minimum of five years progressive technical experience plus current CPR certification by time of appointment required

Preferred Qualifications:

Supervisory experience preferred. Documented Continuing Education Unit (CEU) compliance and active status in accordance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements strongly preferred.

Work Days:

40 hrs/week; Specific days/hours to be determined. Will be required to work weekends on a rotational basis. Overtime may be required based on departmental needs.

Must have the ability to travel. This is a full-time Tech position for the Mobile Mammo Van. This position will require travel throughout various counties and varied hours to accommodate patients. The counties include but are not limited to Onondaga, Oswego, Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Herkimer, Oneida, Madison, Cayuga, Cortland & Seneca. When not working with the van, this position will be working at Wellspring and Women’s Imaging at 550 Harrison Center.
