Eaton Corporation Machine Operator - 3rd Shift in Syracuse, New York

Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator - 3rd Shift. The core hours of the position are 10:30pm to 6:30am.

The hourly rate for this position is $17.62 per hour.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform a variety of machining operations using single or multi-spindle drill press and/or tapping machines on various castings and parts.

  • Duties include positioning parts into chucks, fixtures, or loading machines; moving selector levers for prescribed speeds; initiating machine cycle, removing machined part and check work.

  • Work involves highly repetitive machine operations such as drilling, milling, tapping, reaming, boring, facing, threading, counterboring, etc.

  • Check work with fixed gauges at prescribed intervals.

  • Detect and report faulty machine operations, defective material, and unusual cases to proper supervision.

  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Follow prescribed or standard safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Three (3) months minimum working in a manufacturing environment.

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographic area (50 miles) of Syracuse, NY will be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience reading blueprint drawings and able to use measuring devices (verniers, micrometers, gages)
