Crouse Hospital Interventional Radiology Technologist in Syracuse, New York

Under the direction of the Administrative Director, Radiologists and Interventional Supervisor, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of specialized and general procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. These procedures include, but are not limited to, specialized medical imaging modalities such as angiography. Responsible for patient care with no age limitations.

Job Requirements: Functional knowledge of principles and procedures used in diagnostic radiology for safe and efficient operation and maintenance of routine radiologic equipment. This ability should be at or above a level acquired through formal education in a program approved by the NYS Department of Health. Current State of New York license to practice Diagnostic Medical Radiography. Current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Must be certified to inject IV contrast at the time of hire or within sixty (60) days after hire.
