SUNY Upstate Medical University Grant Funded Program Coordinator in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

Grant Funded Program Coordinator primary responsibilities will be to develop, implement and evaluate operational activities for New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute and Health Research Institute, Inc. funded programs. The Program Coordinator works closely with the medical team to ensure the provision of services to address social determinants of health which affect health, functioning and quality of life outcomes. The Program Coordinator works directly with the Medical Director to assure all criteria for contract funding is achieved and maintained.

Primary responsibilities for this position will include but not limited to:

  • The implementation of workplan standards of care, fiscal oversight, policy and procedure development and data management system oversight.

  • The implementation of multidisciplinary, collaborative quality improvement activities aimed at providing excellent patient-centered care.

  • Oversees the project budget including personal services, travel expenditures, operational expenses, contractual services, and budget modifications in conjunction with the Program Medical Directors.

  • Responsible to assist in the development and refinement of client recruitment and outreach activities.

  • Responsible for hiring, orientation, evaluation, and supervision of additional grant funded staff positions.

    Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Public Health, Nursing, Mental Health, Health Education, Health Science, Business Administration or other related field.

At least 3 years experience in health care with 2 years of the experience in program development and implementation including quality improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Public Heath, Nursing, Mental Health Health Education, Health Sciences, Business Administration or other related field.

Experience with NYS DOH AIDS Institute grant funded projects.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 -4:30
