Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment related to all SCH buildings/facilities. Perform snow removal, shoveling, salting walks and parking lots for all SCH Facilities. Sweep and maintain exterior walks and parking lots and grounds for all SCH Facilities. Mowing of grass, maintaining weeds and shrubs. Maintain and clean all exterior windows and building facades. Planting of shrubs and flowers. Maintain mulch beds. Must be able to lift 80 lbs. Must be willing to work in inclement weather. Must be willing to climb ladders and work at heights up to 40’.

Minimum Qualifications

General knowledge of maintenance trades, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC and electrical. General knowledge of regulatory agencies. New York State Driver’s license and clean driving record. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Three years maintenance experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

Three plus years maintenance experience preferred.

Physical Demands

Ambulatory – 95%

Sedentary- 5%

Subject to stress and fatigue.

Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye hand coordination when working with equipment.

Subject to repeated bending, squatting and stooping and lifting up to 50lbs.

Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
