SUNY Upstate Medical University Federal Work Study- Transcranial Magnetic Stim Tech/Medical Assistant in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary: Psychiatry practice looking for a part-time Medical Assistant/Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Technician. Medical Assistant duties would include: administrative assistant duties (scheduling, returning phone calls). Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Technician duties would include: monitor Patients during treatment; scheduling of Patient treatments; maintain Patient notes (following the provided template); explain and administer procedure to patients (following the provided script); work well with other members of the team in a relaxed environment; act courteously and with tact in dealing with patients and families; MUST maintain patient confidentiality; maintain a high degree of accuracy regarding details.

Training for TMS device (Neurostar) preferred, but not required. Schedule: would be variable and dependent on number of patients. No previous clinical experience required.
