Syracuse University Enterprise Systems Engineer in Syracuse, New York

Information Technology Systems (ITS) at Syracuse University seeks applicants for a Enterprise Systems Engineer. The position supports Syracuse University ERP application stack including Linux and Windows virtual servers. Additionally, the Enterprise Systems Engineer maintains firewall rules, configures software, and administers load balancing. The role is responsible for installing, monitoring, maintaining, and performance tuning of ERP applications, application servers, and web servers. This includes patch installation, troubleshooting, and database problem resolution, performance tuning, capacity planning, data migrations and automating maintenance/upgrade activities. The position is coordinates with administrative and functional entities and non-university entities such as technical specialists who support vendor products.
