Syracuse University Computer Consultant II in Syracuse, New York

This role provides end-user support to the school's communications spaces of television/audio studios, computer labs, research and collaborative spaces, and supports users working on a variety of computing platforms including Windows and Mac based systems.

  • Provide technical support for Windows and Apple technologies used in the complex, including but not limited to the Desktops, Portables, iOS and tvOS devices.

  • Co-administer the Newhouse Schools server infrastructure and support the Microsoft Active Directory (SaaS system management, account management, server maintenance and upgrades, software and security patching, maintain and expand the school's asset management systems.

  • Maintain and update software on a regular basis: deployment, patches and triage.

  • Coordinate and manage technology projects and initiatives undertaken by the department and the school.

  • Develop, coordinate and offer training to faculty, staff and student's in the use of hardware and software as needed.

  • Participate in professional development programs.

  • Recommend/develop user documentation for technologies within the facility.
