Crouse Hospital Clinical Nurse Specialist in Syracuse, New York

Clincal Nurse Specialists (CNSs) are licensed registered professional nurses with graduate preparation. CNSs are clinical experts in the diagnosis and treatment of illness, and the delivery of evidence-based nursing interventions in collaborative practice with the healthcare team. CNSs possess advanced knowledge of the science of nursing with a specialty focus and can apply that knowledge to nursing assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and evaluation. They function independently to provide theory and evidence based care to patients/clients in their attainment of health goals. CNSs work with other nurses to advance their nursing practices and improve outcomes. CNSs provide clinical expertise to effect system-wide changes to enhance programs of care through the quality improvement process. Requirements: Masters Degree in Nursing with Clinical Nurse Specialist tract required, current New York State Registered Nursing license, 5 years recent experience in the clinical specialty area, and effective interpersonal communication and teaching skills required. 5 years recent experience in a Clinical Nurse Specialist role preferred.

Salary Grade 100

Salary range $37.75- $63.98
