SUNY Upstate Medical University Clinical Laboratory Technologist in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary: The Clinical Laboratory Technologist will perform Lymphocyte subset analysis, stem cell analysis and leukemia/lymphoma analysis in flow cytometry laboratory. The individual will be in charge of maintenance and quality control and perform new test development. The individual will teach Medical Technology students, CP residents and fellows.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist and 2 years clinical lab experience required. Excellent computer skills required. *Candidates with no clinical lab experience or with a NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician will be considered for appointment to a commensurate title and salary. Candidates with a BS degree in Natural Sciences may be considered for a commensurate title and salary; these applicants must apply for a restricted license and complete a 1 year training program in Flow Cytometry. Ability to distinguish colors required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Flow Cytometry experience preferred

Work Days:

Tuesday-Saturday days with rotation on weekends and holidays.

Salary Range/Pay Rate:

Commensurate with Qualifications
