New Beginnings Home Care Inc., located in Auburn, New York, is looking to hire a Personal Care Aide (PCA) who will be in charge of performing basic housekeeping duties, assisting with personal hygiene, and providing companionship.

Duties/Responsibilities: Maintains the standards and policies set forth by New Beginnings Home Care, Inc. Follows the plan of care established by the supervising registered nurse. Performs personal care, assists with non-medical diet food preparation as directed by the plan of care without performing any task that is outside of the PCA scope of practice. Reports significant changes in client needs to supervising registered nurse and or service coordinator. Submits and maintains all necessary documentation including but not limited to service notes, daily shift reports, and communication logs. Assists with medical appointment attendance and communicates any information back to the supervisor. Brings current Medical Dental Consult forms to doctor appointments with clients. Protects all client information and only releases confidential information to the permitted parties. Follows the employee code of conduct policy as well as any other policies set forth by the agency upon start of employment. Upon hire and annually thereafter attends ongoing training to keep abreast of current issues or updates. Brings any concerns to supervisor to address with co-workers. Documents in accordance with agency policies. Respects and enforces Client/Patient Bill of Rights. Performs other various duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements: Active PCA, HHA, CNA Certification. Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
