SUNY Upstate Medical University Administrative Coordinator in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

Performs various coordinating duties, primarily focused on administrative and management functions, associated with the operation of a project, program, or department.

Typical duties may be general in nature such as:

  • Developing and implementing administrative policies

  • Maintaining record systems

  • Participation in overall planning and organization and direction or supervision of administrative staff;

  • More specific duties such as oversight or coordination of purchasing

  • Payroll & Human Resources

  • Budget and financial reporting or other administrative functions.

May provide other, as needed, assistance to the program or department head and may assist in the preparation of grant requests and other reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field and 2 years related experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills and competency in appropriate computer software applications. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
