Actalent Antenna Test Engineer in Sykesville, Maryland

Job Title: EngineerJob Description

As an Engineer, you will be responsible for programming software in C/C++ or MATLAB to automate test fixtures. You will work on test software development in a Nearfield and Compact Antenna Range. Your role will also involve creating software programs to automate tests, troubleshooting RF issues during testing of advanced antenna systems, and supporting technicians with troubleshooting and training. You will be required to analyze test data, identify early trends, and support program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions. Additionally, you will collaborate with design engineering for hardware and test improvements.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Sykesville, Maryland.

Work Environment

We currently have 1 weekday 1st shift (M-F) opening that only requires a SAP clearance to start and 2 2nd shift Weekday openings. The workplace will be a mix of indoor and outdoor Antenna Test Range. The engineers will work with RF design engineers to create test equipment and automated test software to run tests on RF products. It will be a mixed environment working in a lab and at indoor/outdoor ranges. The work will predominantly be on cleared programs. The lab operates 24/7 so there are multiple shifts that need coverage to transition the work each day from the first shift to the second shift. Candidates with at least an active secret clearance will be considered.
