We are currently looking for 3 Lift Installation Mechanics/Electricians to be based in Sydney CBD , Australia.

About you

You will be the face of the Otis brand and responsible for the installation of lifts, escalators, and travellators in compliance, with the relevant codes and Otis specifications and procedures.

This role will be reporting to the Construction Manager (NSW and ACT) and work closely with other Installers, Electricians, Adjusters & Field Engineers as well as Construction Coordinators.

Location

Our office is located in Sydney CBD, Australia however you will be assigned projects within the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation and Modernization of lifts, escalators, and travellators and work to the highest safety and environmental standards whilst ensuring that service targets are met.

  • Maintain company tools, equipment and materials in good order and safeguard such property.

  • Perform work in accordance with the relevant lift industry codes and standards.

  • Comply with the company's Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures including reporting any conditions which may impact on the environment or any employee.

  • Maintain and work to the Quality System

  • Attend customer handing over inspection/service inspections on installation and modernization projects.

  • Ensure timely completion of defects identified during service / handing over inspection in coordination with Project Manager.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and help facilitate continuous improvement to satisfy the customers of your processes.

What you will need to be successful

  • Possess some Mechanical or Electrical background/experience.

  • Has experience in the elevator industry and proven ability to work safely as part of a team or independently depending on requirements.

  • Experience in Adjustment / Commissioning work would be beneficial.

  • Enjoys communicating with various levels of stakeholders and working closely with others in the field.

  • Solutions-oriented, independent, and well organized.

  • Willing to travel in & out of the region and able to work unsupervised.

  • Has the ability to perform knowledge transfer on information and skills through training.

  • Able to plan and prioritize tasks and complete in a timely manner.
