Amazon Technical Program Manager in Sydney, Australia

Description

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Are you interested in helping scale-out best practices for adopting AWS cloud technologies, helping customers to minimize risk, and ensuring their long-term success as they architect and build their workloads on AWS? Are you seeking an environment where you can drive innovation? Does the prospect of working with top architecture and engineering talent get you charged up? If so, the AWS Cloud Optimization Success team is for you!

The AWS Cloud Optimization Success (COS) team helps customers learn about best practices related to adopting and using AWS services, measure their workloads and organizations against these best practices, and improve their technical and business outcomes throughout their journey with AWS.

This role will focus on working with our solutions architects and product/service engineering teams to build features, deliver proof-of-concept (POC) solutions, and drive collaboration between customers, AWS account teams and service teams.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) professional to play a significant part in leading a multi-year program from concept through execution. As Amazon continues to scale and add complexity, Cloud Optimization Success (COS) will build new processes and tools to automate the “learn, measure, and improve” of best practices. This TPM will work hand in hand with our solutions architects, with service engineering teams, and with our customers to define and orchestrate scope, work streams, timing, milestones, and communication plan. This TPM will need to dive deep with the development teams and challenge the design as needed. Solutions involve the development of new features, and leveraging existing products and services in new ways. We are looking for a leader who can embrace the challenge of solving complex problems that require consistent iteration and schedule refinement. This leader will facilitate the development of detailed project plans and timelines, ensure technical teams are delivering to the customer requirements, and drive leadership alignment and communication of our progress across teams.

The successful candidate will have strong Technical Program Management skills, be highly collaborative, globally minded and have a high level of customer focus. You should be a motivated self-starter that works well with others in a dynamic, ambiguous environment. You should have excellent business, technical, and communication skills to be able to work across countries and markets, with technical teams, and with business owners to define and deliver improvements.

Key job responsibilities

· Lead validation of ideas and feedback to refine the program vision

· Define requirements across multiple customers and stakeholders into a single program and roadmap

· Drive program management, and technical resources in the design, development and launch of new solutions and features.

· Work across cross-functional project teams to enable the successful launch of the program

About the team
