Microsoft Corporation Technical Program Manager - Compliance in Sydney, Australia

The Azure Compliance team is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Technical Program Manager – Compliance (TPM) to support Azure’s compliance audits. The TPM will work with multiple stakeholders to understand compliance requirements and operationalize the evidence/artifacts that are necessary to support certifications and all regulatory requirements. The role will be working with peers to support evidence gathering program that will be used all audit engagements across multiple Microsoft Online Service’s offerings.

We partner with engineering, security teams, and external auditors to ensure that our extensive certification portfolio can be leveraged by customers to build the most secure and compliant systems on Azure. Responsibilities

  • You will support the execution of multiple Azure assessment/audit projects.

  • You will collaborate with team members, engineering, and external auditors to collect appropriate level of audit evidence to complete various compliance programs.

  • You will provide feedback for building tools and processes needed to develop a scalable and efficient compliance program.

  • You will monitor in the remediation of audit findings.

  • You will support the review and maintenance of Azure’s document procedures used to support external audits.

  • You will engage with customer and partner teams for ad hoc compliance support.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 1+ years experience compliance audit that support engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.

  • 1+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team compliance projects.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team project

  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience with security control frameworks e.g., SOC 2 (System and Organization Controls), PCI (Payment Card Industry), ISO (ISO: International Standards Organization), NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology), COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission), COBIT (Control Objectives for Information Technology)

  • Experience throughout the complete audit/certification lifecycle.

  • Demonstrated project management excellence in medium-large scale projects.

  • Attention to detail and willingness to dive into technical details. Proficient written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Experience supporting new and innovative technologies.

  • Enthusiasm, integrity, ingenuity, results-driven, self-motivated, and resourceful.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to manage multiple, disparate activities at once.

  • Technical security and network background.

  • CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), and/or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) certification preferred but not required.
