The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Moreover, the candidate must have great expertise on React framework, Next.js and Node.js.
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating on the development of our frontend applications with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
Core Activities
As BRG scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
Ownership of BRG public storefront applications
Plan the architecture, develop and maintain our frontend applications using HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, NextJS and ReactJS
Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and product owners to create user-friendly interfaces that meet business requirements
Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Work closely with DevOps engineers to deploy and maintain applications in production
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in frontend development and advocate for their adoption when beneficial.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications and contribute to ongoing improvements.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.
Experience Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
At least 6 years of experience in frontend development using HTML5, CSS3, and extensive knowledge of TypeScript
Strong understanding of web standards, responsive design, and accessibility
Experience with Git, Agile/Scrum, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
Experience with OpenAPI for API design and integration
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
