Amazon is looking for a smart and driven Business Development Manager to be part of the team recruiting Australian Sellers for Amazon Fashion in Apparel, Shoes, Luggage, Jewelry and Watches.

The Key Account Manager (New Seller Recruitment) will be responsible for initiating and developing strong relationships with retailers across AU/NZ, utilising data to dictate the direction of the Fashion category at Amazon. They will balance their time between recruiting new sellers, bring new and relevant selection to Australian customers, and account managing those sellers to enable their growth across Amazon’s tools and services including; Fulfilment by Amazon, Sponsored Advertising and Promotions.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing relationships, eager to learn, solution-focused with a hunger to drive new business growth - therefore have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals. Operating in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment the successful candidate will be required to work autonomously, taking responsibility for achieving business objectives.

This role provides a real opportunity to develop original ideas, approaches, and solutions in a competitive and ever-changing business climate, and is scoped to have a direct path to Team Lead, managing a small team of Account Managers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Owning New Seller Recruitment for Amazon Fashion, including end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to launching new business on Amazon.

• Contribute to prospecting and lead generation activities in preparation for engaging new business, owning the full sales cycle

• Drive C-suite level negotiations – consulting retailers on the opportunity to sell on Amazon

• Enable selling partners to learn and master Amazon's tools and systems so they may become self-sufficient in handling their catalog, inventory and performance efficiently and to the required standards

• Achieve business and financial objectives and drive the growth of Amazon’s third-party business

• Identify opportunities to improve the Marketplace business for all sellers through scalable solutions and manage the roll-out of these solutions

• Identify and contribute to projects focused on improving customer and seller experience, working closely with internal and external teams

• Relay market needs and requirements back to internal Amazon teams including Product Management, Technical and Category Management teams

• Work closely with marketing, merchandising, business development, customer service and other key internal Amazon stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 4+ years work experience

• Demonstrated track record of success in account management, business development or management consulting roles

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex concepts simply. Interested in new technologies, capable internet user

• Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Ability to work with wide range of people at all decision-making levels, including but not exclusive to C+ suite

• Experience solving analytical problems, either in professional experience (data analysis) or education

• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment

Preferred Qualifications

Ideally you will have:

• Experience in business-to-business business development and account management.

• Experience in program and product management, ability to initiative and invent business solutions to meet customer needs.

• Ability to work in a complex, cross-functional team environment (including technical, marketing, design and merchandising teams), chasing down and following up on dependencies, mitigating risks, and escalating when necessary.

• High attention to details and ability to simultaneously manage multiple, competing priorities.

• Sound business judgement, proven ability to influence others.

• Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce to track all pertinent account information and sales progress.
