We have a great opportunity for an experienced HSE Manager to join our team working with our major client – Placemaking NSW. Located at The Rocks, you will be responsible for the coordination of Health, Safety and Environment issues and delivery of the Risk Management strategy for this unique precinct and encompassing properties.

Reporting to the Director HSE and working closely with our onsite Facilities and Events Management team, this role is perfect for a motivated HSE professional looking to further their career in a diverse and exciting business. This role provides a mix of operational and management responsibilities where you will develop your influencing and HSE leadership skills and take ownership for achieving HSE strategic outcomes.

Here's a snapshot of your day;

• Partner with key internal and external stakeholders to provide subject matter expert advice, education and support.

• Influence key business stakeholders to drive positive HSE outcomes and behaviours.

• Lead and participate in HSE and Wellness improvement projects.

• Lead and execute key programs and initiatives as required to meet contractual HSE KPIs.

• Assist the business to implement, manage and review the CBRE Pacific HSE management system and monitor performance.

• Conduct site inspections and contractor spot checks

• Provide support to site teams to ensure that incident reporting, investigation and regulatory reporting requirements are met across the portfolio

• Cooperate with the procurement team in reviewing HSE impacts of maintenance and service agreements.

• Conduct HSE management system audits of the managed properties,

• Assist in audit preparation in the lead up to audits by third parties (i.e. insurers, WHS consultants, regulators etc.)

• Provide HSE training to the portfolio across both internal and external stakeholders as required.

• Provide assistance in management of contractors across the portfolio with regards to HSE.

Here are some of the strengths you’ll possess and the background you’ll need to be successful;

• A relevant tertiary qualification with related HSE work experience ideally within a larger corporate environment.

• Organised, with strong attention to detail and a responsive, proactive attitude.

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team with excellent verbal and written communication, sound negotiation and presentation skills and a customer service focus.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office and experience in a documented management system using a Sharepoint environment.

• A Qualified A/NZS 4801/OHSA18001 and/or SafetyMap Auditor would be beneficial as would experience or qualifications in environmental management.
