    HR Advisor

    We are seeking a HR Advisor to join our close-knit HR People Advisory team, based in Sydney.

    The HR Advisor will be responsible for providing HR advice and operational support to our colleagues, and our people leaders on people, policy, process and HR Technology. With a strong working knowledge of Employment legislation and practice you will help guide leaders to achieve outcomes for the and business and Aon colleagues. You will support the HR Consultant team and manage a specific portfolio within the business.

    This is the perfect role for a someone who has worked in a HR generalist role for 3+ years and is looking to take the next step within a global organisation.

    What the day will look like

  • Mentor and provide advisory support to people leaders on all operational HR matters, including performance management, employment relations, HR policy and process interpretation, workforce/resource planning and technology.

  • Providing first level advice and support on all HR policies and processes to our colleagues, by being the face of the HR Connect Pacific team

  • Working as a team you will a ssist the HR Consultants with any adhoc employee related matters that may arise

  • Contribute to the development and management of People Organisational policies, processes, ensuring adherence and understanding across the business.

  • Providing navigational support on HR systems and tools for the Pacific region as well as content management for HR documents

  • Primary contact point and relationship management with the HR Global Operations support team based in Poland and the local HR team, including administrative process delivery and improvement initiatives.

  • Working flexibly across all HR projects in order to deliver operational excellence – National or Pacific scope.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a HR generalist role

  • Experience in handling and resolving sensitive and complex Employment Relation matters; (investigations, mediations etc)

  • Experience in executing and implementing change management initiatives

  • Exceptional client orientation and customer service skills

  • Exposure to using Workday or similar cloud-based HR system would be highly regarded

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a corporate environment

  • A degree or other related HR qualification would be advantageous but not essential.

  • Ability to adhere to procedures and processes, whilst using your initiative and thinking creatively

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently communicate with stakeholders from all levels

  • Flexible and able to adapt to different situations

  • Passionate about growing their HR skills and career.
