Amazon Events Producer, Event Productions (IT Services) in Sydney, Australia

Description

The Event Producer role will provide customer-centric event production services and overall event support at the highest level possible for our Client, through a mastery of systems and service. Successful team members will have strong organizational skills, ability to work across multiple teams and cultures, demonstrate impeccable customer service, and be energetically driven to meet the needs of our customers and team.

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Prompt, thorough, professional communication with all team members, Client, and business partners.

  • Proactively engage with Team and Client to pursue process improvements.

  • Search out opportunities to help others improve skillsets and knowledge base.

  • Direct the crew on events, calling camera shots, audio and lighting cues.

Pre-event:

  • Assisting customers with planning meetings and walk-throughs.

  • Event script preparation and distribution.

  • Provide estimates of AV vendor labor costs to be incurred.

  • Technical resource scheduling for equipment and labor.

  • Coordinating thorough testing of equipment use cases ahead of events.

  • Navigate and support media playback and presentation methods.

  • Clearly communicate with all team members and stakeholders.

Event execution:

  • Coordination of technical services for assigned events, including audio-visual equipment, and relevant facility operations.

  • Coordination of contractor partners.

  • Optimizing audio, video, lighting and staging for the best quality attainable.

  • Direction of the technical team (calling the show as needed).

  • Dynamically flex to customer needs and adapt to complications.

Post-event:

  • Oversee proper strike of event venue(s).

  • Gather event data and customer feedback and report it through proper channels.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written)

  • Strong understanding of event AV and live event production planning.

  • Proficiency with audio, video, lighting and staging systems.

  • Able to coordinate event production teams upwards of 20 persons.

  • Focused, organized and effective in stressful environments.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Can effectively engage at every level of the organization, across several departments.

  • Able to replicate competencies and raise up team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 - 4 year degree in A/V, event planning, or marketing.

  • CSEP, CMP or comparable certification.

  • 5 years of event production experience.

  • MS Office suite., including Visio.
