Boehringer Ingelheim Head of Global Facilities & Engineering ANZ in Sydney, AU, Australia

The Position

An exciting job opportunity is now open as a Head of Global Facilities & Engineering ANZ. This position is a permanent, full-time role based in our head office in Sydney and will report directly to the Head of Finance & Administration.

The successful candidate will drive Global Facilities & Engineering key processes and governance with BI standards/procedures/guidelines into ANZ, and ensure alignment on Global Facilities & Engineering standards with the Regional Operating Unit. You will be the contact person at the ANZ and Administration areas in matters concerning environmental, health and safety (EHS) issues, including field force safety management, Security, Crisis Management and ensure that the EHS Management System and programs are established, documented, implemented, maintained and continually improved.

Tasks & Responsibilities

The role is responsible for four building blocks:

Security:

  • Develop and maintain company security program, policies, and procedures.

  • Ensure employees are provided with adequate security training.

  • Administer all procedures and operations of the contract security within ANZ.

  • Provide input on new and/or renewal of written contract and ensure compliance with the contract and on-site policies and procedures and that security colleagues in region are adequately trained.

  • Perform periodic audits to ensure compliance to general security procedures, physical security systems, etc. with deficiencies identified and addressed in timely manner.

  • Prepare, co-ordinate, ensure and provide ANZ support on the implementation of Governance in Crisis Management & Emergency Preparedness plans and the allocation of roles and responsibilities to the members of crisis teams with regular training.

  • Responsible for functional support and coordination of security staff during on-site crisis and / or local emergency response.

EHS:

  • Support, coordinate and ensure the establishment, documentation, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Safety -Occupational Health program within ANZ and ensure the establishment maintenance and continuous improvement of Field Force Safety program.

  • Support, coordinate and ensure the adaptation of applicable SOPs for local level and ensure the execution of risk assessments across EHS processes with active CAPA management.

  • Support, coordinate and ensure the scheduling and execution of supplier’s audits from an EHS aspect.

Real Estate & Facility Management

  • Responsible for Real Estate and Facility Management ensuring adherence to global standards and local regulations.

Engineering

  • Ad Hoc basis

Requirements

  • Bachelor or tertiary qualification in Security Management, Business or equivalent

  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in Security Management (mandatory) and preferable in ISEE is required where the candidate can demonstrate direct management of Security personnel and or ISEE. Good knowledge of related Corporate Security and EHS Standards (Policies, procedures, guidelines) and regional/national legislation.

  • Working knowledge of local / regional Security and EHS authority requirements. Communications with all levels of management is required. Individual is required to have a high degree of interaction and development skills to support the ANZ business

  • Experience in Security, environmental Health & safety, Facility Management
