Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Due to our business growth, we have opportunities for the people to join a high performing Production manufacturing team, VAP (Value Added Products) team, the main area of work will be within the Raceway Cell. Training will be provided, you’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow within a market leading global technology and manufacturing Company, to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.

Night Shift Position: Mon to Thurs 10pm to 6am & Fri 6pm to 12am

Shift Allowance: 33%

You may be required to start 15 minutes (paid) before your week 2 shifts to cover a production handover

What you will do

· Work in a safe manner and follow all health and safety guidelines.

· To adhere to all Production Quality requirement.

· To have an awareness and accountability of sources of waste that impacts the business

· To comply with training procedures and keep abreast of updates to General Standards.

· To participate in internal / external training programs which are relevant to the role and your personal development plan.

· To work within the team performing the various stages of production as defined by the Tyco Electronics Operating Advantage (Lean Manufacturing), Quality, Safety, General Standards and Company Procedures

· To work to a manufacturing schedule and to notify supervision of any issues that may affect the completion of the schedule

· To prepare and complete all documentation accurately, legibly and in a timely manner

· To report any deviations to supervision promptly and to assist in resolving non-compliances where necessary

· To contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, procedures and quality within the department.

What your background should look like:

The ability to read and follow work instructions/methods, manufacturing specifications and quality standards.

An ability to conduct effective handovers to maintain workflow.

Experience of working with Quality Management and Quality Productivity Systems.

Good numeracy and literacy skills.

A logical and methodical approach to tasks.

A flexible approach and a willingness to learn new skills.

Basic IT skills.

Ability to work well as part of a team and/or as an individual
