Lab Inspector
VALUE STREAM / DEPARTMENT:
Inspection
STATUS & PAY CLASS:
Full Time - Hourly / Non-Exempt
SHIFT:
Shift (10% shift differential) / Overtime May Be Required
WORK SCHEDULE:
Alternative work hours may be considered, if applicable
WAGE RATE:
Earn up to \$24.95/hour
Starting wage is negotiable based on previous knowledge/experience
POSITION SUMMARY:
A Lab Inspector is responsible for the final inspection of the product produced by the Made To Order (MTO) and Made To Stock (MTS) Value Streams.

Essential Job Functions
As a Lab Inspector, you will be trained and responsible for the final inspection of the product produced by the production team in the Made To Order and Made To Stock Value Streams. A Lab Inspector may also perform re-work processes.
Job functions are as follows:
Inspect finished product for conformance to specifications such as : visual finish, size and tolerance
Will analyze any defective product to determine cause for defect
Must rework defective product by performing various machining tasks including:
Roll Lapping
Facing
Chamfering
Cut-Off
Must access information using the internal computer software programs
Will be responsible for calibrations on various gages
Will be responsible for the set up and operation of precision measuring equipment
Will be required to record inspection data in written form and/or by entering data into the computer system
Essential Job Functions Continued
Will be responsible for the set up and operation of precision measuring equipment
Perform proficiency testing for internal and external diameters
Learn and understand the required Quality Procedures and how they apply to ISO17025 and IS9001
Follows all company policies, ergonomic standards, and safety requirements
Perform other duties as required

Qualifications
REQUIRED
Education:
High school education required or an equivalent of education and experience from which
comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired
Experience/Skills and/or years of specific experience:
Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical functions in the areas of fractions, decimals, metrics, conversions
Ability to perform basic computer skills and the ability to operate in a Windows and non-Windows format
