The Interventional Applications (iApps) group within the China Image Guided Therapy (IGT) Cluster R&D organization in Philips is a newly formed team to support further strategic growth of IGT in China. The iApps group plays a crucial role in the design, development and maintenance of clinical applications and solutions for our customers. The China IGT cluster collaborates with the global teams across the sites of Netherlands, India, USA and Israel. The global team is responsible for the development and maintenance of 20+ 2D & 3D Interventional Applications, used in combination with our Azurion, Intrasight and Zenition product platforms. Our products are used across all clinical area of Neuro, cardiac, Oncology and vascular medical diagnosis and intervention (e.g. balloon angioplasty and stent procedures). Customers are interventional specialists, in the cardiology and radiology domain operating in hospitals across the globe.

Job Description summary:

  • Leads the verification of the design of Interventional Workspot ( IW ) platform and Interventional Applications (iApps) developed on a windows platform as well as in a Cloud infrastructure.

  • The applications are to be verified in a DevOps environment with a high focus on test automation, security and quality.

  • Setting up, preparing and executing system level tests, for both functional as well as non-functional aspects

  • You have to bring your competences to the limit to prepare and execute objective, reproducible and maintainable tests in an agile environment.

  • Expert in own field of expertise and recognized within the business group. Shapes the testing and verification practices and technologies within the business.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Reviewing product specifications, writing test specifications and executing system level tests

  • Analyzing test results, submitting problem reports and verifying solutions

  • Making recommendations with respect to usage of new test techniques, methods and tools

  • Determining approach for feature acceptance tests within development teams

  • Participating in validation of system test tools

  • Contributing to driving automated testing & test engineering to the next level

  • Performs software testing (automated or manual) within the systems/agile/scrum team throughout the whole development cycle ensuring built‐in quality

  • Provides test expertise to define and drive software test strategies and initiatives at feature and system level

  • Reviews (functional and non‐functional) requirements / stories / features for accuracy and testability

  • Consults within scrum or other teams on test planning and participates, for example, in scrum team testing, planning and demo activities

  • Conducts functional and performance, load and reliability testing

  • Automates tests and tests own code. Selects and applies test management tools / simulation models / test frameworks / scripting languages

  • Documents test plans, protocols, and reports

  • Supports design changes for quality impact

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor/Master in Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field

  • Certified in testing (TMAP/ISTQB), advanced level preferred

  • High quality standards and a strive for continuous improvement

  • Taking ownership with a pro-active mindset

  • Eager to learn, both in the clinical and testing domain

  • Tool experience: ALM, Azure Devops, WindChill PTC RV&S, GIT

  • Test automation experience preferred: Gherkin/SpecFlow

  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Experience with testing on Cloud infrastructure, especially cloud native applications using browser based on React/Angular will be preferred

  • Proficient in English both written and verbal is a must

  • Strong documentation practices is a must
