UL, LLC Senior Project Engineer - 可靠性/失效分析方向 in Suzhou, China

  1. Determines project scope and specifications with substantial latitude for action or decision. Recommends changes in procedures, design, or equipment where necessary.

  2. Initiates communication with clients to promote and explain the benefits of new and existing services. Communicates with clients to provide technical assistance in reference to complex product evaluation and/or inspection and follow-up services. Follows up on contacts from clients. Resolves technical issues and explains UL procedures and requirements.

  3. Plans, conducts, and supervises projects of major magnitude and scope. Determines areas in which the product is not in compliance with UL requirements or of any changes in project scope or specifications, and notifies client.

  4. Coordinates complex laboratory activities by developing data sheets. Coordinates administrative aspects of project management. May serve as Project Handler of record and may sign as Reviewer of record as assigned.

  5. Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.

  6. Resolves complex engineering issues associated with Variation Notices by analyzing and reporting on the acceptability of the variations.

  7. Develops UL requirements for testing products beyond the scope of existing standards, or those involving unique features requiring frequent use of independent judgment. Develops special test methods and test equipment. Represents UL on technical committees of national and/or international organizations.

  8. Provides leadership and technical advice on special projects that involve complex, new, or unusual issues. May provide direction as a Primary Designated Engineer or Designated Engineer for specific product categories.

  9. As technical consultant and support sales to visit customers to deliver technical training and keep good relationship as well as win order.

  10. Take lead equipment Selection to support manager for building lab test capability as well as get accreditation.

  11. Trace the technical/standards development trend, Coordinate between team members and provide technical support/training to engineer staff as well as sales team.

  12. Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.

  13. Performs special projects as directed.

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Engineering Technology/Electrical Engineering, measurement control and instrument or equivalent.

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience and 3 years in automotive electronics or semiconductor testing.

  • Experience in automotive electronics lab establish is preferred.

  • Experience in AEC-Q standards (AEC-Q102, AEC-Q101, AEC-Q104, AEC-Q100, AEC-Q200) , Failure analysis or automotive lighting industry is preferred.

  • Good team player, self-motivated and willing to travel.

  • Excellent client management and service skills.

  • Good communication skill and fluent in English reading and writing.
