CommScope is looking to add a Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be based in Suzhou. This role will contribute to the Outdoor Wireless Network (OWN) business segment, supporting the backbone of outdoor cellular and Wi-Fi systems.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World

  1. Work with PLM and design team to clarify scope/specification, cost target, business case of given new project.

  2. Review project proposal/plan to determine time frame, budget, technical requirements, and lead project team to ensure project scopes remain within design budget, quality and schedule agreements and follow product development process(PDP).

  3. Confers with project team members to outline/negotiate work plan, allotment of available resources to various phase of projects and assign duties/responsibilities, determines schedules and milestone deliverables tracking.

  4. Work with cross functional team including reliability, quality, material planning, purchasing, NPI to assure product readiness through design, pilot to full production. Find any opportunity during project implementation for the quickest “Time to Market”.

  5. Submits periodic project reports and status updates to senior management as requested.

  6. Provide continuous assessment of project management best practices to ensure new, innovative project management practices can be applied to all the product development process.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in engineering; Master’s degree in engineering or Engineering Project Management is preferred.

  2. 5 years in a project management/leader role or equivalent experience with project management tool sets and ability to demonstrate how these have facilitated project success.

  3. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Must effectively communicate across multiple disciplines, cultures, time zones and technology types, must be able to proficiently speak and write English and Chinese.

  4. Demonstrated ability to manage, lead and organize cross-functional teams.

  5. Ability to effectively win the support of the technical team through capabilities, insights, and personal competence in a highly matrixed multi-cultural organization.

  6. Strong attention to detail, and the proven ability to take initiative, make independent decisions, exercise sound judgment, and develop creative solutions.

  7. Competent in managing competing priorities, negotiating with various levels within an organization, and providing customer service.

You Will Excite Us If You Have

  1. Experience with Fiber, Telecommunication RF or Mechanical design and process

  2. PMP accreditation of certification in technical project management

  3. Advanced PC skills using Microsoft Office products and MS Project; Prior working experience with SAP
