Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems, and contributing to design to orders. Includes activities linked to technical improvement and technical support of existing products and components, responsible for planning/execution. this role requires technical skills and analytic thinking to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Job Description

Essential responsibilities:

  • Take charge of technical management of Outdoor High Voltage SF6 Circuit Breaker products including drawings & technical documents maintenance, NPI, TOW, Localization & cost out, DTO and so on.

  • Drawings, BOMs and documents transfer from DA and routine maintenance.

  • Design for specific customer requirements and design optimization.

  • R&D projects management, tests organizationand results analysis.

  • Define validation requirements for critical parts, support SQE and sourcing for sample manufacturing, validation and approval.

  • Localization prototype sample assembly, define validation test program and finish test report.

  • Technical assistance for other departments, such as tendering, engineering, quality, production, project management, localization and so on.

Required qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in SF6 circuit breaker design and test, technical assistance or engineering design.

  • Be familiar with product standards such as GB/T1984, IEC62271-100, IEEE693 etc.

  • This role requires advanced experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or HV technology; Knowledge level is comparable to a bachelor's degree or above from an accredited university or college

  • Knowledge of manufacturing process of machining, casting, forging, welding, heat treatment, surface treatment.

  • Knowledge of operations of Pro-E, AutoCAD and office software.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
