Reporting directly to the Electrical Leading Hand you will be responsible for executing all facets of the preventative maintenance program including work orders and periodic inspections, breakdown maintenance, as well as process control improvements and maintenance on a rotating shift roster.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build supportive rapport.
Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance inspections on plant and equipment including record keeping.
Respond to machine breakdowns and undertake necessary repairs.
Machine settings.
Recommend and implement production process improvements.
Compliance with company policies and procedures and statutory regulation
Maintain and calibrate process control instrumentation
To be considered for this position you will have:
Minimum of C10 Electrical qualification
Current Electrical licence
5 years’ experience preferred in the food industry or similar
A demonstrated high level of ability
Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
Good knowledge of, and experience with industrial control systems and equipment
Ability to train and coach operators in autonomous maintenance techniques.
Experience with control loops and instrumentation
Moderate computer skills – spreadsheets, word processing, email, SAP
Experience with PLC programming and fault finding
Excellent comprehension of quality, safety and environment management systems.

Attractive night shift penalties
C10 ($42.26 per hour) up to C6 ($54.50 per hour) competency classification
$100-$120K plus overtime

Whilst the position is for an electrical tradesperson, dual trades’ qualifications in Electrical/Instrumentation would be an advantage.
