Description

Surgical Technologist - for BELLINGHAM and SEDRO-WOOLLEY hospitals! Full Time, Part Time and Per Diem shifts. Day, Evening and Night positions! Hourly compensation is $30.09 - $45.17, hiring rate dependent on qualifications, professional experience, work location, and/or terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Bellingham: Cardiac, Operating Room, Labor & Delivery

Sedro-Woolley: Operating Room (NO WEEKENDS)

DETAILS OF THE POSITION

  1. Arrange and inventories sterile set-up for operation and passes items as needed to the surgical team.

  2. Understand and apply the principles of asepsis. Establish and maintain sterile field and assure team maintains sterile environment.

  3. Assist in preparation and moving of patients.

  4. Cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes instrumentation. Assists with clean-up and room turnover.

  5. Access computer information as needed, such as preference lists and digital images.

  6. Participates in all safety initiatives. Adheres to programs such as SCIP and SCOAP quality initiatives.

  7. May be required to provide scheduling support during non-standard business hours.

  8. May be required to schedule surgical cases.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Accredited Program Required: Surgical Technology. or recognized course of training as a Surgical Technologist

  • Required: Registered Surgical Technologist at date of hire

  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at date of hire

  • CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) preferred
